Hello, children! How are you?
Let’s revise daily routines and the present simple tense!
We use the present simple tense to talk about things we do regularly.
Remember:
When we talk about he, she or it, we add -s or -es to the end of the verbs. Look at these spelling rules:
- Most verbs add -s: play-plays; write-writes.
- Verbs ending in -o, -ch, -sh, -s, -x, or -z, add -es: go-goes; watch-watches; finish-finishes; miss-misses; mix-mixes; buzz-buzzes.
- Verbs ending in consonant + -y change the y to an i and add -es: study-studies.
- Some verbs are irregular: have-has; be-am/is/are.
Complete the table with the correct form of the verbs.
Rewrite the sentences from Exercise 2 above starting with “Sally” or “She”. Remember to add -s or -es to the end of the verbs.
1. She gets up at seven o´clock.
2. ______________________________________
3. ______________________________________
4. ______________________________________
5. ______________________________________
Here’s some extra practice:
What is one thing your best friend does every day? He/She watches television at night.
